I wasn't planning to blog till after huiqi put the photos up from the concert, but I figured what the heck - was kind of afraid I would forget the little details that made Eason Chan's DUO concert great. We were both super excited when we walked into the Indoor Stadium, and to learn that we had been switched to better seats with amazing views was =D. lucky lucky us. I didn't really know what to expect, but Eason first started singing I could just feel tears welling up. I had been waiting to hear him live for a long time now, and he didn't disappoint. the songset was mostly cantonese, but it was amazing listening to him live. He adapted the songset a bit I think, to suit the Singapore audience - some popular mandarin songs here and there.
I didn't come out overwhelmed, cause I think I expected that much of the concert. But it was a feeling of warmth and satisfaction at watching a well-produced performance.
it was already going to end a good night, then I got a call from William saying Calvin was back. made the day even better. Haven't heard his voice on the phone in ages; it brought a smile to my face.
I do love suppers with them. We reminisce, and talk a bit about old friends, and laugh at lousy jokes. And Calvin just orders food like nobody's business. Always happens, always fun.
